Sioux Marriage Customs, Disciplining Kids, & Offensive Native Plaque Removed

Today on the radio podcast, 7 Year old Jason of the Puyallup Tribe joins Cliff in discussing how the Sioux Tribe handled marriage, and raising and punishing children. Jason shares some of his… more interesting views on how marriage works as well.

Then we discuss a memorial plaque in a Yarmouth Village cemetery in the state of Maine which honors the brave pioneers who defended the town against the “savage enemies” (the Abenaki tribe). Jason and Cliff discuss why this is rightly seen as offensive, and discuss the plaques relocation. Download and listen to the full audio file here, and we hope you enjoy it!
